Fuel Purchasing Bill Advances to Senate Floor

A TCHOA effort that would give county highway departments the flexibility to buy bulk gas and diesel fuel using documented quotes instead of competitive bids moves now to the Senate floor. Having been recommended this week by House Local Government, it now goes to House Finance for its consideration.

SB2432/HB2547 (Haile, Lamberth) is just one of several legislative proposals being monitored by TCHOA and TCSA this session. As always, amendments can change initiatives along the way, so we will continue to monitor these and others.

A list of the more pressing bills is attached here. If you have any questions about a bill, please contact me.
