Morgan County Highway Department Hosts a Successful Second Annual 'Highway Administrative Day' in Wartburg, TN

Last Thursday, February 29, the Morgan County Highway Department hosted its second annual Highway Administrative Day at the Morgan County Highway Department facility. The event featured resources, technology, and innovative solutions for county highway administrators to better manage and assist the roadway superintendents in each of Tennessee's 95 counties. At this particular event, highway administrative assistants from throughout each of Tennessee's four regions traveled to Morgan County to network and learn more about the issues and solutions facing their departments. 

Professionals from various agencies and organizations that directly assist county highway departments were in attendance, including TCHOA, UT CTAS, TTAP, Collier Engineering, and so many more! Thanks to these organizations' tremendous partnerships, Tennessee's county highway departments are able to better serve their citizens and maintain infrastructure amongst the most urban and rural parts of the state. 

"County highway departments could not have the success that they do without dedicated and knowledgeable employees. That employee roster includes the highway administrative assistants that work hard to keep a highway roads department organized, proactive, and in communication with their communities," said TCHOA Director Brett Howell.
