In 2007, a law was passed that provides for the purchase of secondhand
goods, articles or equipment by municipalities or counties without public

TCHOA will sponsor a Legal Issues For Highway Officials training class on
January 18-19, 2011, beginning at 1:00 p.m. on the 18th. The training class will
be held at the Embassy Suites in Murfreesboro. The Embassy Suites is off of
Exit 76 on Interstate 24. The meeting will be in the Mirabella G Room at the
Embassy Suites Conference Center. Make plans to attend as many laws have
